Account Settings

Manage your profile, security, appearance, and personal data — settings that follow you across all workspaces.

Accessing Account Settings

Click your avatar or name in the top-right corner and select Account Settings. These are personal settings tied to your account, separate from Workspace Settings which control a specific workspace.

Profile Picture

Upload an avatar that appears next to your name throughout Inkwren.

Hover over your current avatar (or the default initials)
Click to upload a new image
Select a PNG, JPG, or WebP file (up to 5 MB)

To remove your avatar, click Remove (visible whenever an avatar is set). Inkwren will display your initials instead.

Display Name

Your display name appears in conversations, team member lists, and activity throughout Inkwren.

Click Edit next to your display name
Enter your new name (at least 2 characters)
Click Save Changes

Email Address

To change the email address associated with your account:

Click Change next to your email
Enter your new email address
Enter your current password to confirm
Click Save Changes

Your new email must not already be associated with another Inkwren account.

Password

To update your password:

Click Change
Enter your current password
Enter your new password (minimum 6 characters)
Confirm the new password
Click Save Changes

Appearance

Theme

Choose how Inkwren looks:

Light: Light background with dark text
Dark: Dark background with light text
System: Follows your operating system preference

Your theme choice applies across all workspaces.

Display Density

Control the spacing and compactness of Inkwren's interface:

Density	Description
Comfortable	Spacious layout with more breathing room
Cozy	Balanced spacing (default)
Compact	Dense layout that fits more content on screen

Density applies to list pages, detail pages, dashboards, and tables. Navigation, modals, settings pages, and account pages always use comfortable spacing.

Exporting Your Data

Download a copy of all your personal data (GDPR Article 20 compliance).

Scroll to the Export Your Data section
Enter your password to confirm
Click Export Now

Inkwren will prepare a ZIP file containing your profile, preferences, organization memberships, and created content. A progress bar shows the status while processing. Once ready, click Download to save the file. The download link has a limited expiry window.

You can request one export every 24 hours.

Guided walkthroughs to help you get the most out of Inkwren. The Product Tours section lists each available tour with the date you completed or skipped it, and a Replay button (or Start for tours you haven't taken yet).

Deleting Your Account

This action cannot be undone after the grace period

Account deletion is permanent. Make sure you've exported any data you want to keep.

To delete your Inkwren account:

Scroll to the Danger Zone at the bottom of Account Settings
Click Delete Account
Enter your password
Type "DELETE" to confirm
Click Delete My Account

Before deletion proceeds, Inkwren shows you what will be affected:

Workspaces where you are the sole member will be deleted
You will be removed from shared workspaces
Active subscriptions will be cancelled

If you are the sole billing contact for an organization, you'll need to transfer that responsibility before you can delete your account.

Your account enters a 30-day grace period before permanent deletion. During this period your data is preserved but your account is deactivated. To restore your account, go to the login page and click Restore Account — normal sign-in is disabled while deletion is pending.

After 30 days, all personal data is permanently anonymized and cannot be recovered.
