Themes and Personalization
Tailor how Inkwren looks with a few settings. The color scheme is workspace branding shared with everyone in the workspace, while your theme mode and display density are personal and follow you across all your workspaces.
Color scheme
The color scheme sets the brand colors for a workspace. Inkwren offers six options:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Classic Purple | Deep purple with golden accents. The default Inkwren look. |
| Literary Teal | Teal with warm amber accents. |
| Forest Green | Rich forest green with orange accents. |
| Sunset Orange | Warm sunset orange with brown accents. |
| Ocean Blue | Deep ocean blue with cyan accents. |
| Custom Colors | Pick any primary brand color; Inkwren generates a matching secondary color automatically. |
To change it, go to Workspace Settings → Color Scheme and select an option. If you choose Custom Colors, a color picker appears so you can set your primary brand color. Your choice saves automatically.
The color scheme is workspace-wide branding. Changing it re-colors the workspace for all members, so only members with edit permission can change it.
Light, dark, and system mode
Theme mode controls whether Inkwren shows a light or dark interface. Set it in Account Settings → Appearance → Mode:
- Light: Bright, high-contrast interface for daytime work.
- Dark: Darker interface that's easier on the eyes in low light.
- System: Matches your operating system's light or dark setting and updates automatically when your OS switches.
This is a personal setting. It follows you across every workspace and doesn't affect other members.
The quick light/dark toggle
The sun/moon button in the header is a shortcut for flipping between light and dark mode. It changes the same personal preference as Account Settings, so a flip here is reflected there. The header toggle can only switch between light and dark — to use System mode, set it in Account Settings → Appearance → Mode.
Display density
Display density controls the spacing and compactness of Inkwren's interface. Set it in Account Settings:
| Density | Description |
|---|---|
| Comfortable | Spacious layout with more breathing room. |
| Cozy | Balanced spacing. |
| Compact | Dense layout that fits more content on screen. |
Display density is a personal setting and follows you across all your workspaces.
Your settings are saved
Your color scheme, theme mode, and display density are saved, so they persist every time you log in.
Tips
- Match your brand: Use Custom Colors in Workspace Settings to set a primary brand color that fits your workspace.
- Follow your OS: Choose System mode in Account Settings to let Inkwren switch between light and dark with your device.
