Keyboard Shortcuts
Navigate Inkwren quickly using the Command Palette.
Command Palette
The Command Palette is your one-stop shortcut for navigation, search, and quick actions.
| Action | Mac | Windows/Linux |
|---|---|---|
| Open Command Palette | Cmd+K | Ctrl+/ |
From the Command Palette you can:
- Search for stories, publications, authors, or series by name
- Jump to any matching item from your search results
- Run quick actions — New Story, New Publication, New Contributor, Import CSV, or Ask AI Assistant
- Access recent items you've viewed
Why One Shortcut?
Inkwren previously had shortcuts like Ctrl+S for Stories, Ctrl+P for Publications, and so on. These conflicted with standard browser functions (save page, print, etc.), which caused confusion.
The Command Palette approach is better:
- No conflicts with browser shortcuts
- Searchable — type what you want instead of memorizing keys
- Discoverable — see all options when you open it
Tips
Just start typing: Open the Command Palette and type a few letters. It searches as you type.
Recent items appear first: When you open the palette without searching, your recently viewed items are right there.
Works everywhere: The shortcut works from any page, even while you're typing in a form field.
